TJS Services has assembled a team of highly skilled and competent management, administration and operational personnel and prides itself on its ability to meet or exceed customer requirements whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of occupational health and safety and environmental awareness in the workplace.

Our primary objective is to be the Australia’s leading supplier of cleaning and facility services providing high quality at an affordable price.  This primary objective will be achieved by understanding our customer needs and expectations and by providing services that consistently meet those needs and expectations whilst complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.  Associated with this objective is the recognition that our customers expect these services to be supplied to acceptable levels of quality, at a competitive price and within an agreed time period.

To ensure these requirements are achieved with discipline and consistency, and to create an environment of continual improvement, TJS Services is committed to the development, implementation and maintenance of a Management System that, as a minimum, meets the requirements of the following nationally recognised standards;

AS/NZS ISO9001:2000 – Quality Management Systems
AS/NZS ISO14001:2004 – Environmental Management Systems
AS/NZS 4801:2001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

In doing so we will ensure that our business management system:

  • Is appropriate for the company,
  • Establishes and maintains a continuous improvement work environment,
  • Provides a framework for the regular review of objectives,
  • Is communicated to and understood at all levels in the organisation, and
  • Is regularly reviewed for continuing suitability and effectiveness.

Health & Safety Management Policy

TJS Services recognises its obligations under Occupational Health and Safety legislation to provide a safe and healthy place of work for employees.

The company is committed to establishing measurable objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement aimed at elimination of work related injury and illness and to comply with relevant OHS legislation and other requirements placed upon the company from time to time. The company will make every effort in the areas of accident prevention, hazard control and removal, injury protection, health preservation and promotion, to achieve a safe workplace and will encourage its contractors and clients to do the same.

We believe that health and safety at work is a shared responsibility for all employees and that the success of any health and safety program ultimately rests on the willingness of everyone to work co-operatively and with a team spirit. Managers and supervisors will prepare, communicate and implement safety plans, including safety training as required. They will consider safety as the prime factor when designing and implementing all work systems.

All employees are also responsible for their own safety and that of their fellow employees. They must take immediate action to minimise the danger from any unsafe condition and ensure that their supervisor or manager is advised accordingly.

Quality Management Policy

  • We train employees to be effective in their processes,
  • We establish and maintain a continual improvement work environment,
  • We provide a framework for the regular review of objectives,
  • Requirements are communicated to and understood at all levels in the organisation, and
  • Our operations are regularly reviewed for continuing suitability and effectiveness.

Environmental Management Policy

The directors and management of TJS Services acknowledge that the nature of the business operations may have an impact on the environment and that legal and moral obligations must be addressed to avoid environmental damage or deterioration.

The company is committed to compliance with environmental management legislation and regulations, and to the modification of its business practices as legislation and regulations is amended. Managers and supervisors will ensure that the planning of all work processes considers protection of the environment and they will continue to identify aspects of the operation where such protection can be improved by the changing of process methods and activities.

The primary issues that will be considered at all times are:

  • the prevention of pollution of the atmosphere, the land and the immediate surroundings on and in which business operations are carried out,
  • wherever possible and practicable, the recycling of waste, and
  • where recycling is not possible or practicable, ensuring that waste is disposed of in a manner which protects the environment.

All employees are responsible for ensuring the environment is protected from damage at all times and will take immediate action to minimise environmental impacts. Employees are also encouraged to discuss, with managers and supervisors, changes to existing practices that will help in avoiding environmental damage or deterioration.
